Lord Ganesh, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is immediately recognizable as the elephant-headed god. Son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesh is widely revered as remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences, the deva of intellect and wisdom.
 
Om - the beginning of everything:
 
Om is the old, most powerful, all-encompassing mystical entity as described in the oldest of Hindu testaments - Upanishads. The symbol of Om is the manifestation of God.
 
It reflects absolute infinite reality with no beginning or the end. It embraces everything that exists in the universe. It is placed at the beginning of most Hindu texts as a sacred incantation to be intoned at the beginning and end of a reading of the Vedas or prior to any prayer or mantra.
